Kolkata, Aug 12,2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday slammed the Opposition parties over Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and accused them of conspiring to get rid of the EVMs.
Modi while addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kshetriya Panchayati Raj Parishad in West Bengal’s Howrah district via video conferencing (virtually) attacked the Opposition over Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and said, “Those who portray themselves as the champions of democracy are the ones who conspire to get rid of EVM”.
Attacking the opposition parties over the no-trust motion in Parliament this week over Manipur violence, Modi said, “Oppositions were merely leveling allegations during the no-confidence motion as they were speaking without any logic.”
“In fact the Opposition did not want to discuss Manipur and that’s why they were speaking “without any logic” in the Lok Sabha. We defeated the opposition’s no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha and gave them a befitting reply to those spreading negativity in the entire nation. The members of the opposition left the house (Lok Sabha) mid-way creating only chaos.”
