Pune, Aug 6 ,2023: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Sunday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for making changes in cooperative sector, saying farmers now have the right on the profit of the cooperatives.
Speaking after the launch of a digital portal of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) which will be used for multi-state cooperatives here, he said that the problems of sugar factories remained unresolved for many years, but the BJP government at the Centre solved it in a short time.
Drawing comparison with the corporate sector, he said that there are same facilities and arrangements in cooperation field as in the corporate sector.
He further said that there would not be a single cooperative sugar factory in Maharashtra which will not turn to ethanol production.
