Abineet Parichha,who topped ICSE, wants to be a cosmologist

abineeth Abineet Parichha’s dream to be a scientist does not seem far-fetched,  with his 99.2% score in the class 10 ICSE examination, the highest this year. “I was confident of scoring more than 95% but did not expect to top the exam at the national level. It is a pleasant surprise,” said the all-India topper.
A student of Little Flower School in Odisha’s Balangir district, he scored 100% each in mathematics, social sciences and computer science, 98% in science and English and 96% in Odia (second language).

A total of 1,69,381 students appeared for the Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE) examinations held between February 29 and March 31. In Odisha, 6,848 students of 88 schools appeared in the exam.
To prepare for the national level test, Abineet studied four hours after school daily. He also attended a coaching institute for computer science and went to a private tutor for mathematics.

Abineet plans to take up physics, mathematics, chemistry and computer science in his higher secondary. “My aim is to pursue a career in cosmology,” said the young teen whose father is a businessman and mother a housewife.
