Bobby Jindal Indian-American Bobby Jindal has demitted his office as Louisiana Governor after the end of his second four year term. Jindal was replaced by John Bel Edwards of the Democratic Party, who was won the elections last November. In 2008, Jindal was sworn in as Governor of Louisiana, becoming the first ever Indian-American to hold the top position.

In an interview over the weekend, Jindal did not rule out running for any other elected position.

As for now, he has decided to work with a think-tank America Next. Last year Jindal had announced that he will run for US presidential elections, but dropped out of the race a few months later as he failed to gain any national attraction.
