COVID-19 : confirmed cases rises over to 230 in the country

cov ind9 New Delhi, Mar 21,2020: The number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in the country rose to 230 on Friday evening .
Twenty three patients, who have recovered, were discharged, and one of these migrated , the government said.
As per the government, total number of passengers screened at airport so far amount to 14,59,993.
So far , there have been four reported deaths due to COVID-19 , according to the government data.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday during his address to the nation regarding COVID-19 requested citizens to stay at home and further urged the entire population to observe ‘Janata Curfew’ on March 22, Sunday, as a major social distancing measure against the disease.
The government has also announced that all international flights will be barred from landing in the country for a week beginning 0001 hours on March 22 up to March 29.
The global death toll on Friday due COVID -19 reached 10048 , while the country has reported four deaths so far due to Coronavirus.
The government had on Monday activated a 24×7 toll free national helpline number 1075 for support, guidance, and response to health-related queries on COVID19.
Maharashtra remains the state with the maximum reported confirmed cases at 52 of COVID-19 followed by Kerala.
Meanwhile, with a view to assess the economic impact of COVID-19 on MSME Sector, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a meeting in New Delhi on Friday which was attended by Finance Secretary , Secretary DEA & Secretary MSME.
