New Delhi, Aug 20: The Army had assured the government that it was prepared to foil any escalation by Pakistani force on ground post Balakot air strike on February 26.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) had entered deep into Pakistani territory and bombed terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed training camp near Balakot in the wake of Puulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
While meeting with the retiring officers here, Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat told them, “The Indian Army was ready to take on Pakistani forces on ground.”
