Bhopal, Nov 21 : Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh today said that the Centre has advised social media officials to take measures for preventing dissemination of rumours and fake news.
“The Centre has asked the chief executive officers of Facebook and Twitter to install checks and apply effective methods to stop spread of inaccuracies via social media platforms,” Mr Singh said at a press conference .
Justifying demonetisation, he said that it helped wipe out a colossal amount of black money.
Mr Singh evaded questions regarding the imbroglio vis-a-vis the Central Bureau of Investigation.
