Emotional farewell for Niranjan

Palakkad bid a tear full farewell to  NSG commando Lt. Col. Niranjan .The body of Niranjan,who was killed in Pathankot terror attack was flown to his hometown, Palakkad, in a chartered helicopter. It reached the Government Victoria College grounds at 3-45 p.m. where hundreds of people turned up. District Collector P. Marikutty and all the 11 MLAs from the district were present to receive the body. It was then taken in an ambulance to his the ancestral house at Elampulassery in Mannarkkad. Later the mortal remains  cremated close to a temple owned by the family.
