A bomb exploded outside the Punjab Assembly in Lahore during a protest, reported the Dawn. The explosion took place on Mall Road with reports of multiple injuries. A group of chemists and pharma manufacturers were protesting in front of the assembly when a vehicle exploded nearby. Pakistani media outlets reported that 10 people were killed and several injured. The bomb was reportedly fitted inside a motorcycle.
Among those killed was DIG Traffic Lahore Captain Ahmad Mobin and there are reports of more casualties among law enforcement personnel. Earlier, Mobin was negotiating with protesters to end the strike and clear the area.
