Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 1: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Sunday greeted people of the state on the occasion of ‘Kerala Piravi’.
Kerala Piravi marks the formation day of the state of Kerala in India. The state of Kerala was created on November 1, 1956, after the merger of Travancore-Cochin state with the Malabar district of Madras State and Kasaragod of South Canara (Dakshina Kannada).
Greeting the people on Kerala Piravi (Kerala Formation Day, November 1), the Governor said “Let us work in harmony for the progress of our beloved State, with the aim of making it a more developed ‘Nava Keralam.”
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala have also greeted people on the occasion of the 64th formation day of the State.
