DMK supremo M Karunanidhi has named MK Stalin as his political heir, thereby relegating the already snubbed M K Alagiri further into the background.
This had miffed Alagiri who had announced a split from the party fold after Karunanidhi did not allot him any important task during the last state election that was won by a landslide by Jayalalitha’s AIADMK.
