Relaince Jio free services offer for the next three months has led to a massive rush with people thronging Reliance Digital and other telecom stores, but not everyone’s been able to get a sim.
Long queues are visible in stores, with people eagerly waiting to get a sim and make the most of the free services, reports say.
Jio has plans both for prepaid and postpaid services starting at Rs 19 and Rs 149, respectively.
Mukesh Ambani revealed the Jio project on Friday at the shareholder’s AGM where he announced that voice calling and national roaming would be free of charge.He also said that Jio would offer data rates at 1/10th of market rates, cheapest in the world. According to him, consumers can avail the SIM card provided they have a 4G compatible phone.
