Kisama (Nagaland) Dec 2,2021: Governor of Nagaland and Assam Prof Jagdish Mukhi on Thursday said that the essence of this beautiful State of Nagaland lies in the rich ethnic diversity, a tribal society with its distinct tradition and customs, the resilience and resolute spirit of its people that has withstood the test of time.
Inaugurating the 22nd Hornbill Festival, coinciding with the 59th Statehood Day of Nagaland began on a high note at the Naga Heritage Village at Kisama, 12 Kms west of Kohima this evening Governor of Nagaland and Assam, Prof Mukhi graced the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest blessed with vast natural resources and immense potential. The wealth of flora and fauna and resources offer tremendous scope for productivity and development particularly in the agriculture and horticulture sector. Though there has been a boost in tourism to some extent, Nagaland remains an unexplored haven as a biodiversity hotspot.
