Hyderabad, Jul 7,2021: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has reiterated that to protect the state’s interests, the Telangana government would fight at all fora without any compromise to protect the interests of farmers, farm sector and its rightful share on the Krishna waters.
Andhra Pradesh Government’s attitude and stand on the river water sharing is harming the Telangana farmers’ interests, Mr Rao said at high-level review meeting held at Pragathi Bhavan here under his Chairmanship on the strategy to be adopted to get the state its rightful allocation of waters in the river waters and the future course of action.
A release from Chief Minister’s office late last night said the State Cabinet had already decided to get the state’s rightful share of the allocation of water and to continue Hydel power generation to run the Telangana state’s Lifts.
Against this background, the state government has decided to make its voice heard strong in the Courts, Tribunals and in the coming session of the Parliament, he said.
