The 1960s masterpiece To Kill a Mockingbird was Harper Lee’s first novel.Though it was an instant hit she never published a second novel for a half century.The manuscript of Go Set a Watchman was discovered in her safe deposit box in recent time.
The 89-year-old is now confined to a nursing home, her sight and hearing deeply affected by a stroke, and has given no public interviews for years.
