JJ Abrams is producing a space thriller for Paramount that will be released in February 2017.
Titled God Particle, the film has been in development by Abrams’ production company Bad Robot since 2012.
Set in the near future, the story focuses on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges all they know about “the fabric of reality.” As is the norm with Abrams’ projects, little else is known.
Nigerian-American director Julius Onah is stepping behind the camera while casting wise, there are currently no people attached.
Abrams has numerous producing credits coming up: as well as God Particle, he’s producing HBO series Westworld, the recently confirmed sixth Mission: Impossible etc.
