New Delhi, Feb 2: Expressing hope to bring down the fiscal deficit to 3 point 3 per cent in 2018-19, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday reasoned that the GST was the factor for not achieving the target this year.
Fiscal deficit is a measure of how much the government borrows in a year to meet part of its spending needs.
