Less than 24 hours after his expulsion was announced, UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav is back in Samajwadi Party fold. Mulayam’s brother Ram Gopal Yadav was also reinstated into the party. SP state chief Shivpal Singh tweeted out the same after a discussion between party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and son Akhilesh on Saturday noon.
The fight between warring factions in the SP had intensified when Mulayam Singh took the matter of ticket distribution for upcoming Assembly polls into his own hands and released a list of 325 candidates. Many close aides of Akhilesh were denied tickets. Subsequently, Akhilesh Yadav released his own list of candidates, different from his father’s list, virtually challenging the authority of Mulayam. Later on, Mulayam had announced expulsion of Akhilesh and Ram Gopal from the party for six years.
